Southern Ontario Lyric Opera

Southern Ontario Lyric Opera (SOLO), is a young, vibrant and dynamic Opera company, launched in 2015 to bring the “rich musical and visual tapestry of opera to communities within Southern Ontario”. SOLO seeks to advance the public’s appreciation and enjoyment of the arts by providing high-quality performances of classical operatic works.

Since its formation, SOLO has appeared in numerous concerts and community events, including: Festitalia Italian Heritage Awards flash mob and concerts in at the Villia Italia in Hamilton.

In the spring of 2016, the chorus appeared again at Villa Italia to perform an Easter Concert, and participated in a Concert for Syrian refugees, in Hamilton.
