RESTAURANTS
Alton Village offers popular chain restaurants such as Kelsey’s, Boston Pizza, and Cora’s, but the dining options don’t stop there. With many one-of-a-kind eateries and cafes around, you’ll never be at a loss for a dinner out.
Ready to turn up the heat? Bombay Chili offers hot, spicy Hakka cuisine and traditional Indian dishes. Stick with the usual favourites: samosas, butter chicken, biryani, and naan bread. Or try out some of their creative twists, like butter chicken nachos or poutine!
This small, cozy restaurant delivers big flavour. Know what you want? Then order from the a la carte menu, which contains a wide variety of classic Maki and California rolls. If you can’t decide, try “The Course.” The chefs will get creative with your plate, offering up various samples of appetizers, mains and desserts. Party platters are available for large groups, and even seafood haters won’t go hungry. Chicken teriyaki, beef udon soup, and vegetable tempura are also on the menu.
Feel like breakfast for dinner? This small family-owned diner gives you plenty to choose from. There is something for everyone’s taste; all-day breakfast, calamari, souvlaki, stir-fries, cabbage rolls, and more. Everything is handmade from scratch, and large portions mean no one goes home hungry.
ALTON VILLAGE – THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Alton Village is close to the Niagara escarpment and has some of the province’s best parks, hiking trails, and outdoor activities. Here are just a few:
Palladium Park
Kids and teenagers of all ages will have a blast at Palladium, which features a playground, basketball court, skateboard area, and massive soccer field. There’s lots of room to relax, too. Sit in the park and sunbathe or meditate, or have a quiet picnic.
Norton Community Park
Located just outside the Haber Community Centre, Norton features two artificial turf fields, a basketball court, and a skateboard park. On hot days, young ones can play and cool off in the splash pad.
The Bruce Trail is Canada’s longest and oldest hiking trail, stretching 900 km from Niagara to Tobermory. Though around 400,000 people visit this trail every year, its size and length make it unlikely to be overly crowded at any point. There’s plenty of wildlife to see on your path – turkey vultures, migrating hawks, songbirds, and more.
Colin Alton Parkette
Brand new as of June 2021, this mini-park features a playground with a wood fibre floor for safety. There is a fully fenced leash-free dog park, a 200m paved loop, and even an outdoor fitness centre. To relax, have a seat at one of the picnic tables in the shade.
Mount Nemo Walking Trail
Alton Village is a quick nine-minute drive away from one of the most scenic places in all of Ontario. Mount Nemo gives you a panoramic view of the Niagara escarpment. Don’t forget to check out Brock Harris Lookout while you’re there. At 968 feet above sea level, the view is out of this world. On a clear day, you can see as far as the CN Tower!
Farmer’s Markets
Burlington Centre Lions Farm Market
Located at 777 Guelph Line, the Burlington Centre Lions Farm Market celebrates 64 years in 2022! Every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, you can browse the wide selection of locally grown fresh produce, meat, eggs, honey, and even wine. Here is your chance to expand your dining horizons while supporting local farms!

Living in Alton Village, you’re never far away from a shopping centre. Whether you’re looking for a small specialty shop or a big box store, you’ll find everything you need. Here are just a few plazas right around the corner:
This unique outdoor shopping village-style center is a quick fifteen-minute drive away. You’ll discover everything from specialty shops and dessert cafes to fitness studios and belly dancing lessons!
